It takes the coordinated effort of many individuals to run an international organization based on consensus management. Meet new friends, help the Alliance grow, and MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Our work is done through small committees working independently and reporting in at monthly Board of Directors meetings. We welcome your participation! Which committee appeals to you?

Website-Social Media Committee

Are you a good researcher or writer? Do you enjoy spending time online? Are you good in graphic design? The Website Committee supervises the content development and ongoing evolution of the AAS website and other social media outlets, keeping them lively and timely. They work with the Media-Outreach and Educational Committees to produce engaging and educational materials for our online efforts.

Membership Committee

Greet new members, handle issues related to joining and renewing: Help find perks to improve our membership roster. Reach out to fellow professionals and organizations and invite them to join our discussion. The Membership Committee welcomes new members and stays in touch with existing members to maintain feedback between the membership and Executive Committee, and help everyone feel a part of the Alliance community.

Fundraising Committee

Are you good at writing grants? Are you interested in finding money for programs, administration, scholarships? The goal of the Fundraising Committee is to expand the Alliance’s income stream and stabilize our financial well-being.

Media – Outreach Committee

Are you a good writer? Are you good engaging the public? Respond to online articles and blogs and mention AAS in your answers. Write letters to editors and reporters, write Op/Ed pieces for media, make phone calls to reporters and government personalities to educate them about what we know works for pharmaceutical-free brain support, and help create a media package to publicize us as the go-to organization for transforming the addiction recovery field. The Publicity Committee promotes the work and writing of the Alliance members through the media and the social media networks.

Education Committee

The Education Committee produces materials for professional continuing education and for the general public. They also find presenters for and plan members-only educational programs via telephone conferencing. Eventually the Alliance will sponsor conferences, workshops, CEU classes on our website, and other educational materials for use by individuals and comprehensive treatment programs.

Cooking and Nutrition Committee

The Cooking and nutrition Committee will work towards develoingp a repertoire of sugar-free and wholesome recipes. And they will also develop a curriculum to couch members in a regular classes or through teaching aids. They will write, edit, and create a regularly content for the website and create deliverables to send out to the world.
